The Dura-Drill Soil Sampler is designed to drill
through frozen or unfrozen soils allowing you to collect samples year around! It has the
following features. Auger: The auger is 1.25 inches in
diameter and is equipped with a carbide drilling tip capable of boring through frozen
soil. Available in lengths of 10", 36" and 48".
Probe: An optional hardened steel probe is available to obtain
a core profile of the soil.
Operation: The sampler is operated from the vehicle with a
hand-held pendent and electric over hydraulic controls.
Hydraulic Pump: A hydraulic pump provides the power for the
Dura Drill. The pump can be driven by an auxiliary engine or can be driven by the vehicle.
Soil Collection: As the auger is being raised, soil is
deposited into a collection container. This container is hinged for easy removal of soil
from the sampler.
Auger Adjustments: The rotational and vertical speed of the
auger can be adjusted for varying soil conditions.
